Wolfkin nodded her hand resting on her sword. "this is most likely going to get ugly, just great" she whispered back her eyes scanning everywhere.

Nova readied his gun and sighed, "Yeah, probably."

Shimei grimaced. "Problems already. Hear that? Krystazian's laughing. Probably that odd one who calls himself Shatter Ice."

"Shatter Ice ..." Lilia repeated, then shuddered. "Even their names scare me."

Shimei chuckled. "Ah, well, that's really just an approximation of their real names, you know. It all relates to the crystals."
She gave the girl an encouraging smile, feeling the urge to try to do something for their spirits. "Space," she muttered under her breath, "Wish I had my blaster...or that sword."

"Ah," Reagan reappeared. "Think I can help you, there." he grinned. "Come and see what I found." and without waiting for an answer he led the way over to the prison console, pointing to a pulsing indicator on the projected image.
"There's a sight to warm your heart."

Shimei grinned wholeheartedly. "Good one Reagan! Let's go!"
She scanned the map to memorized the turnings and ways out, as well as the dead ends. Wouldn't do to get caught there. Another smile, grimmer, twitched at her lips. Perhaps the training to become a small ship pilot hadn't been a waste after all. It at least had trained her mind to assimilate patterns very quickly.
She turned toward the first hall, then hesitated, glancing at the women they had freed. Space. She'd almost forgotten. Krystazians on the way, and these women weren't very well. Could they keep up? ... She sighed. They'd have to.
"You have to be able to keep up with us." She looked from Aeve to Lilia. "If you fall behind, or lose us, I don't think we can get you out a second time."

Aeve focused on Shimei, grateful to realize that there was only one image of her. The headache had subsided to a wicked ache behind her eyeballs but was at least manageable and, perhaps most hopeful of all, the nausea had passed.
She nodded to Shimei then wished she hadn't but nevertheless said, "We can keep up. Which way from here?"

"To the right." Shimei started forward, turning down the nearest corridor. (Um...you know, I was thinking, the ship is crystal, the Krystazians are crystal...they both are 'grown'...so you know...the ship is...ALIVE. Might make for some interesting complications, no?)

What should we do about Renos' character?

((I agree that having the ship be 'alive' in a manner of speaking could be great to write! As for Reno's character... I think she'd be cool with someone else taking care of her while she's gone. She's left all her other RPG chars to others to write in her absence.))

{lol}
Shimei frowned as the corridor seemed to bend, light bouncing from facet to facet of the ship. "Odd, the map says it goes to the right, but it looks like a leftward opening from here."
{Ship can't move quickly enough to be seen, or really be dangerous, but it can bend light to seem to change things.}

Aeve didn't trust her eyes anyway with the aftereffects of the blast though the headache was ebbing quickly now and she felt less weak.
She paused a second then walked ahead of the others, boot heels tapping on the crystalline surface and tenatively went left, her hand held out in front of her...
...and encountered a diamond-hard wall.
She walked slowly right, trailing her hand along the beautiful faceted surface. It was cool to the touch and very smooth. She felt a slight humming vibration through her fingertips.
She paused and looked back at the others.
"It appears that the map is right."

"That's ... weird," Lilia stepped tentatively after Aeve. After thinking about it, she turned to the others and said, "What if ... well, you know how the Krystazians can change their ... appearance, move their projected images onto the different facets? Maybe this is a similar kind of thing. It's the same kind of crystal, isn't it?"

Shimei nodded. "Yes, it is. And that fits in with what I know about the Krystazians. We'll follow the map." She grinned at the two of them. "Good work!"

Aeve walked with the others as they cautiously proceeded down the corridor. It bent in faceted segments and then bent gently left again. At least that's that it looked like. Light bounced from facet to facet, disorienting space and killing shadows.
The little group reached a straight section and proceeded more confidently. Aeve still trailed her hand along the wall, the other held out slightly in front of her to detect any surprises.
At least, they proceeded a little way before the walls and floor appeared to slip up, over, and around them, closing off the way before them although the floor remained solid under their feet.

Shimei hefted her the hunk of robot arm she still held and began tapping it at the wall before them. "Should be a door here. Crystal might hold it closed, but..." With another tap, she suddenly smiled. "Here! Clear back a bit, hey?"
She raised the rough metal club, preparing to swing down at the crystal.

Boredom. Not a feeling Osiris was used to experiencing, and definitely not one which he enjoyed. This journey had been far too slow for his liking, and the pilot's insistance on a stealthy approach to the moon was only making it slower.
Until recently, Osiris had been one of the best known bounty hunters in the galaxy, known by the alias "Tsaeb" to employers and targets alike. This had merely been a distraction from what had happened; although he thought it impossible, he had made permanant ties with the members of the Midas Hierachy. The thrill of the hunt, and to a lesser extent, the kill, had been enough to keep his mind off the tragedy. While his mind told him they may still be alive somewhere out there, logic battered that suggestion and jammed it into the corner of his consiousness. Within each of the Hierachy members, he had implanted life-sign detectors, and they were silent.
But only days earlier, he had received intelligence which suggested that someone very similar to one of the Hierachy members had been seen on this moon; and that spark of hope was more than enough to draw him there. And thus, he requisitioned the first craft he came across and set off on a journey. A very long journey, as it so happened.
"Pilot," he barked. "I know that I may have taken control of your ship, and threatened your life until you copmplied, but do you think you could make this rust bucket move any faster?" The pilot responded in a somewhat fearful tone; understandable considering the cirsumstances. "Um... sorry sir. This ship has no stealth systems, and the scanners show a large Krystazian ship orbiting the moon. We probably don't want them finding us." "Can you detect the nearest military installation?" "That I can do for you, though I won't be able to get you to ground. A large Krystazian force has landed near it, but I can get you over it, if it helps. That is, if you want a look, or something." "That will be enough."
As the ship approached the coordinates indicated by the scanner, Osiris entered the ship's exit area. The pilot looked over his shoulder, and saw where the bounty hunter was headed. "You aren't planning to ah.... jump, are you? You'll burn to a crisp from this altitude, and if not, the impact will kill you." Osiris smiled as he replied. "I'm a little harder to kill than you think, little human." "Whatever you say. If you plan to jump though, I'd say go in 5 seconds. That will give you the greatest chance of landing in the general area." "Thank you."
5 seconds later, Osiris was falling towards the surface of an unknown landmass. What the pilot had not known was that the surface temperature in sections of his homeworld was roughly equal to that of a star, meaning that heat didn't particularly bother any member of his species. The rapidly approaching ground did not overly worry him either; as a natural defence against radiation and the constant showers of meteors of their homeworld, his race had developed a layer of thick, dense external tissue, which should more than absorb the force of the impact. 'Doesn't mean it won't hurt, though,' he thought.
Only moments before impact, the strangest memory passed through his mind. On one planet that he had visited during his travels, and quite some time back, he had indulged in one of the favourite past-times of the era: 'video-games'. The introductory scene of on of them seemed very familiar to his own predicament, although the protagonist had the benefit of impact gel - whatever that was - to reduce the pain. It was after this thought that the impact occurred.
His body drilled through the surface, and broke into some sort of large, underground chamber. He could hear the result of the landing; the entire facility was shaking. After a few minutes to compose himself, as well as letting damaged tissue to regrow, he rose from the crater in which he now lay. It appeared to be some sort of hangar. Each step caused the metal floor to sizzle and glow, somewhat logical given his current body temperature.
"Let's see what I can find in this place," he muttered to himself.
((Just so everyone knows, this is the secret hangar which Kage and Renos are currently headed towards.))

Wolfkin looked around she could still here the Krystazian's laughing, She turned to Nova and sighed "We have two choices, go back that way and find a different route or, Fight" It was at this persise moment that the whole Base seemed to shake. Causing the roof between them and the Krystazian's to cave in. "Looks like we're finding a different route then? any suggestions?"

Aeve watched Shimei heft the robot arm and flinched in anticipation of the blow of metal against crystal.
"Do you really think that will-
Aeve was interrupted by a deep shiver of the gleaming material beneath her feet and under her hand. For a brief moment everything shook as though a small earthquake had occurred.
"What was THAT?" she hissed.
((Great intro, Tsaeb!))
