Toxin smiled at the who was selected, "This is going to be fun" he said almost laughing, "Now that we have to be serious, I'll spend my time being resourceful." He simply folded his hands into a ball form and opened them, revealing a little black ball.

"Well I don't know about the rest of you but I'm ready already. Hey, Angel, care for a little walk while we wait?" Lidnus hung his head as he blushed but raised it again, still blushing, with a wide inviting smile across his face. He gave her a small bow and extended his hand gracefully to lead her on this small venture.

"Sure. Why not?" Angel replied, shrugging her jacket back on and taking Lidnus's hand.

"Take care of our new friends, we shouldn't be to long." Lidnus said to Dissonance. Leading Angel through many hallways and up many stairs, Lidnus chatted with her along the way. They seemed to get along quite well from what he could tell anyway. Soon, they reached a large stone balcony overlooking a seemingly endless forest. The balcony was built protruding from a tall flat cliff. To their left, there was a waterfall that flowed less then a foot from the balcony's edge. On the other side if you looked hard enough you could see a city, the city they needed to go to in an hour or so. He said to her, "This is a place I found along time ago. I go here to clear my head, It's one of the last beautiful sights around this area." Lidnus approached the railing and climbed over it. He wrapped his legs around two of the support columns and let his arms go lifting them high in the air closing his eyes and leaning as far forward as he could. "This is what I do when I just need to get away from life for a little bit, or if I just want to focus. It's kind of my version of meditation, I guess. Come and join me, though you probably already know how it feels." He extending his hand again to assist her over the railing.

Angel grinned, and took off her jacket again. She let it drop to the floor, then stretched out her wings to their full span. With a few powerful beats she was lifted from the floor of the balcony and glided gracefully over the railing, swinging herself round so she was facing Lidnus.

"Well, I guess that works too." He smiled back at her. Then with a playful smile he asked, "You said you could handle a passenger, right?" As soon as he knew she was paying attention, he kicked off the railing and threw his arms around her neck. After nearly falling, he stated in a shaken voice. "Maybe that wasn't such a good idea..." but not sencing any great decent to the trees below, he calmed down a bit, still looing at and feing the ground below him. I hope I'm not to heavy for her, maybe I should have asked first...little late now... He looked up at her to make sure there was no hint of stain in her face to see weather or not he she return to the balcany but after doing so he looked back at the ground out of embarassment, and a little fear, for he feared she would be mad at him for jumping on her without warning.

"Woah!" Angel cried. She faltered for a moment as Lidnus threw himself at her, and felt herself dropping, but soon regained her balance. She put her arms around his waist to better support him, and flapped her wings again to regain the height she'd lost.
"Just ... give me a warning next time ... okay?" she said, faintly, as they moved higher.
She stretched her wings again and with more powerful beats, they were soaring higher, the ground dropping away beneath them with the building.

"Sorry, I kind of thought of that after I almost fell." He watched the tree gorw smaller and race past him. He felt the wind caress his face as it parted to let him pass. Looking back he could see the waterfall that he had listened to while reading for many years. Now it was far below him. This was everything he'd hoped and imagined all these years on envying those who could fly now he was experiencing it for himself. He cherished every moment of it, taking in everything there was to experience. After a while of being distracted by th beuty round him he remebered there was someone with him. "Angel, I know I've only known your for what a few hours now, but thank you for everything. This is amazing," He spread his arms in joy then quickly grappled around her neck again after he slipped a little, Enjoying the warmth of her body against the cold evening air. "Maybe it's a good thing I haven't been taken flying before now, thats the second time I've almost fallen." He pulled his head away from her shoulder to look at her face and he gave her an amused smile and laughed t his own excitedness and foolishness that spawned from it.

"Yeah, because I'm really just going to let you fall," Angel said dryly. She flew them a little higher, so they were above the clouds, then stretched her wings out and banked so they were floating.
"I think it's time to speed things up a little," Angel grinned, suddenly overtaken by the sheer joy of flying, "Hold on tight!"

Taken by surprise, Lidnus lung tighter to Angels neck. "Holy..." was all he could say at first, but as he got used to the new velocity he loosened and again turned his attention to the feeling of flying, the sights, the sounds. It entrigued him so much. He had never felt so amazing in his entire life, so much so he had lost all track of time. Not that he cared, he could have stayed out here much longer and not cared. "Hey, thanks again, I don't know anyone who would have just let me fly with them the first couple hours I knew them. This is amazing. How can you do this everyday and ever be upset?"

Angel looked down at Lindus but stayed silent. After a few moments she laughed and said,
"Come on, we should head back. Your friends are probably worried that I abducted you."

"I guess now would be a good time to test out my speed then. Hang on." Angel said. She then used the wind currents to manoevre herself so she was headed down toward the balcony.
She curled up her wings to make herself roughly arrow-shaped, and she and Lidnus sped downwards at a tremendous speed. As the balcony loomed up towards them, she reopened her wings and braked sharply.
"And we're back."

"Now that was just cool. Thank you so much." Lidnus said in sheer amazement. "Before we head back there's just one thing I have to do...Umm..." After a moment of hesitation nd obvious anxiety, he grabbed her wrist and brought her in close and kissed her on the cheek. then looked into her eyes and said, "Last one down the steps is a rotten egg." And he sped off around the steps to hide his blushing countenace, not to fast that he'd lose her for fear she wouldn't know how to get back.

Angel stood frozen on the balcony, and slowly lifted a hand to where Lidnus had kissed her. Okay ....
She shook her head to try and free herself of the temporary mental paralysis that seemed to have come over her, grabbed her jacket from where it still lay on the balcony and headed down the steps after Lidnus.

Lidnus ran down the stair in pure extacy, he wasn't sure what had come over him. He wasn't sure if he regretted it or not either. All he knew was he wasn't realy to face the reprecussions just yet. Perhaps he could postpone them until later if he was with his friends. Making sure not to lose Angel he made his way back to to meeting hall and rejoined his friends sitting next to Dissonance. Completely our of breath and with Angel on his tail, he said, "Hey...man...any news...while...we were out..." He was still blushing heavily and hoped they'd assume it was from running. Though he knew Dissonance would be able to figure it out. Catching Angel in the corner of his eye he said, "I do beieve that makes you the rotten egg."

"But I'm not the one dying because I just sprinted down the stairs," Angel pointed out as she walked over to them.

"True...but...I still won." He laughed and smiled at her playfully, but felt himself blushing worriedabout what she was thinking and turned to the rest of the group. "So...Everyone ready? We'll...have to leave...soon. We have about ten minutes. I know I am."

"I'm ready," Angel answered quietly, shuffling her feet. She was feeling a bit uncomfortable and didn't know what to say, so settled for staring at the floor and letting her fringe fall across her face.

Toxin figeted around with something behind his back, "I bet you won't want them, but since I did have a long time to do nothing but these," he said with a quirky smile as he pulled out four bags, "my only suggestion is that you dont drop these bags, or get them crushed, the balls inside will release the neural toxin inside, and then you're out for a long time." He turned away after placing the bags on the ground, "O, and that reminds me, you just have to throw them."

"Hey man," Lidnus turned to Dissonance, "You ready to go, or is something bothering you?" Perhaps he was still upset about his father not wanting him to go on this mission. Or maybe he was just distracted by something.

Dissonance merely sat in silent contemplation of the events that were about to unfold. As he did an ill tide swpt over him, but this feeling was quickly flushed away when Lindus spoke to him. "No man, I'm fine, just preparing mentally is all." he threw on a fake smile to fool the others, Lindus would have no trouble seeing though it though.

Lidnus mumbled under his breath so only Dissonance could pick up the vibrations, "Lag behind the rest of the group when we head out we can talk then, I know something's up." As he finished speaking, another man approached the podium, "Hello, I am another Master of this the Chaos Sword. You will be heading out upon the completion of hearing your orders. This hallway to my left will lead outside. You will be but a mile or two from your destination. Your target is at the edge of the city, simply head north west towards the city and the building will be within view in several minutes. Their will be rocks and other formations you can use as cover to get closer to the building before revealing yourselves. Bring the non-mutant in that vicinity back to us alive. You have the blessing of the Masters. Now be on your guard and prepare yourselves. The door has been opened leave as soon as possible." The man left the podium and exited through the same door as the previous Master had.
"Well let's get going we don't want to be late for our first mission." Lidnus said with a smile and a concerned look at his friend.

"How exactly will we tell the non-mutant from the mutant?" Angel asked as they started.
