So, here's my idea. I have a few friends who might be interested in joining, so I'm going to invite them and hopefully they'll join. If anyone who's already a member has anyone they know that they think might be interested in joining, feel free to invite them as well.
I'd like to get some votes on which RPGs we want to keep, because I plan to archive the RPGs that have been dead for a long while, and hopefully making a few brand new ones to replace them (not necessarily of the same genre.)
The RPG numbering system won't reset at all, so we'll continue into the late teens/twenties for now, and just archive the ones that we "vote out."
So...what does everyone think of this idea?

Ok...
That sounds like a good idea, even though I'm going to miss some of those that are likely to go...example being the samurai one.

Well, like I said, it's just an idea. If you're the only one who wants it, however, there's no reason to continue, but we'll find out. I enjoy all of them, but obviously everyone is running out of ideas for certain stories, so we can just have votes to see which ones REALLY need to go, and which ones can stay.
I dunno, feel free to offer other ideas in this thread as well.

I think it's a good idea. Things will probably pick up anyway soon after exam periods are over and whatnot.
But still, probably worth doing. A lot of the RPs are dead, unfortunately.

Yep. Summer break here, so I might be able to get Raikadin to come back and start posting more often. I'll be posting a poll in the next few days, once I have more time.

So when should I try to get the poll up by? Or should we just have a general discussion about which ones we vote out?

General discussion?

Sounds good to me. Which ones do we want to get rid of FOR SURE?

|
Post by twilightblade on Jun 23, 2008 17:23:13 GMT -5
For Sure? None. However, we have several that no one has tried to revive or play on for some time.
Examples being:
The RPG Story #1 Discworld Oriental RPG

I'll be sad about losing Discworld, but I'd agree. Other ones I think are pretty dead are:
#10 - Mad Max Style Tomb Raider RPG Redwall D&D
Aaaah, let's face it MOST of the RPGs are dead.

Yes, but MOST are also NOT beyond revival. We're supposed to be picking the ones that nobody has any motivation to revive. Does that change any of the ones we've posted?

I'd miss the tombraider one, and if there was a possibility of reviving #1, that would be great.

I don't really remember much about #1 so I'm really not bothered about that. I did enjoy the Oriental one but I think it might be best to maybe rethink it.

I can go along with that. Number 1 and the Oriental can be dropped. On the Oriental, it would definitely be better if it was re-worked. It seems we kind of...stalled on that.

Yup. I'd agree. And I think Redwall and Discworld could also be dropped.

I will leave both Redwall and Discworld up to those who are actually participating. Just let me know whether or not you (as a group) want them dropped for sure.

Well it was only me and Jessi in Redwall, so that can go I'd say Twi was also in Discworld so she should have a say, and I can't remember whether or not Foxee joined in the end ...

I never joined...trying to write like Terry Pratchett turned out to be too intimidating for me! I'd like to see the other ones I'm in continue, though. I do think there needs to be a culling of the old stuff. Sorry I haven't been here...just seemed like nobody ever posted so I eventually stopped logging on so much. I'd love to see increased traffic.

lol. Ditto. Except for the Western thread, with Blossom and I, there didn't seem to be much posting.

The Western rocks! Yeah, the others have all come to a bit of a halt. I think I might be due to post in a couple of them so I'll see what I can do.

I really want to keep the Desert Mystery going, and I've noticed that the Mutants have been dead for a while.

Yes, I'd like to keep the Desert Mystery. Mutants does seem a bit dead, as does the Elemental.

When was the last time we played that one anyway? lol
So far:
Mutant Elemental Oriental RPG #1 D&D style
Discworld? Redwall? -- I never could think up a character for that...>.<

Ok.
Before I go ahead with locking and moving the threads to archives, does anyone have a STRONG desire to KEEP any of the ones that Twilight just listed?
