Belle kept back into the shadows, hugging her arms around herself and wishing her brother was here. She hadn't felt so helpless since those thugs had come looking for him and beaten her up instead. She could hear the clanking of the guards' weapons, and could just see the dark silhouette of Alois nimbly climbling the wall. Hurry up, she begged silently, If we stay here much longer they'll find us!

Alois reached the roof, using an upthrust of wood to hide the outline of her head as she looked around. She saw nothing, and started to move again, but a faint glimmer of starlight along steel stopped her dead. Guards...on the roof?! She eased back down the wall, landing silently beside the others on the balls of her feet.
She gestured them closer, holding a finger to her lips. She mimed drawing a sword, then cutting her own throat, and pointed to the roof. She hoped they got the message. She edged to the street then, ignoring any replies they might have tried to make, and searched carefully for any other guards.
They would have to return to the ship empty handed, and she would have to be careful to conceal her group from the guards on the rooftop as well. She half turned back toward them, waving her hand for them to follow. She thought she had a way that would keep them out of sight.

Noros saw Alois wave, and then made sure the others had seen it by making another signal to follow, and pointing at Alois afterward.
Then, Noros crouched down a bit and followed after Alois.

Joss could hear the voices of guards, not far away for comfort. So she was uneasy as Alois moved out of the alley way, gesturing for the group to follow. One of the other girls hesitated, perhaps fear was getting the better of her, and Joss gently snared her sleeve and pulled her along with them as they slid out of the alley after Alois and Noros.

Belle hung back as Alois gestured to follow. With her hamped vision, she could barely make out her companions' outlines in the darkness. She'd be too much of a risk, and would surely give them away. Before she could retreat backwards, one of the other girls grabbed her sleeve, perhaps sensing her reluctance, and gently tugged her along with them.
Belle bit her lip and tiptoed after, hoping beyond hope that fortune was smiling on them.

After another quick glance back at the three girls and Noros, Alois led them down another alley, and from there, took a winding route toward the sea. They rounded an outcropping of rock just beyond the last of the buildings, and Alois stopped and pointed.
"'Ere she is," she told them proudly, "The Weave."
The sleek ship was moving gently with the waves, mostly hidden by another outcropping of rock.

Incredible, I'm finally leaving this place, Noros thought to himself.
"We'd better be careful, most of these rocks are bound to be wet," he warned the girls.

Hattie kicked off her ridiculous, ill fitting and uncomfortable shoes. Her bare feet would be much better for scaling rocks especially if they were slippery and she could move better that way too, quicker, more silently and she had no fear of stepping on something sharp - she'd been without shoes for most of her recent life and her feet were hard and thick-skinned enough to deal with most things.
Leaving her skirts tucked up she positioned herself behind the pirate, prepared to follow quickly and quietly.

Alois glanced back at them, a smile on her lips, and found one of the women already prepared and waiting. She nodded sharply.
"All'a ye ready?"
All of you ready?

Joss thought getting rid of shoes seemed like a good idea so she did likewise. The Weave, from what she could see of it, looked sleek and, she hoped, fast.
She grinned at Alois and whispered back, "Ready when you are."

Alois smiled back. "'En, le's go!"
Then, let's go!
She started down over the rocks, picking out the best path. It would be a short, but hard trip to The Weave. And then she would have to signal the Captain. She sighed. Not much she could do about the warehouse goods. But...

The ground was hard, wet and cold against Belle's bare feet, but somehow she didn't mind. Again tucking her skirts up, she waited for the others to begin climbing so she could emulate their movements.

Hattie crept after the pirate boy, mimicking his movements as best she could, straining her eyes in the darkness to pick the best path and testing each step before putting her weight onto that foot.
The very FIRST thing she was going to do was barter some new clothes, she decided. She had one or two small items a pirate may find interesting and she needed a good shirt, coat and a pair of pants. The skirt was cumbersome and annoying and would definately be a nusiance on board a ship.
Heart pounding with exertion, she followed the pirate swiftly in their climb.

Noros made his way closer to the ship, and waited for the pirate's signal to board.

Alois paused on the beach, watching The Weave dip and sway on the sea like some gaceful, exotic dancer of her birth village. After a moment, she looked away and took the covered lantern from its hiding place in the rocks and slid aside one portion of the metal, letting a thin beam of light shine out across the waters. Carefully, she directed the ray sideways and up, centering it on the glass of the Captain's cabin. Soon, an answering flicker of light showed, then dark figures began to move on the deck. A boat was lowered over the side and began to row toward them.
"'Ey, ya'll le' me do th' talkin', aye?"
Hey, you all let me do the talking, ok?

Belle had managed to navigate most of the rocks without trouble, following the others carefully and testing each step. But at the last she misjudged a step and slipped, falling down the last to land at the others' feet.
She picked herself up quickly, shaking slightly with embarrassment and flushing an ugly purple beneath her scar. Her ankled twinged and she rested weight on it, and Belle feared she had twisted it. She had also accumlated a scratch on her forehead and a thin line of blood trickled down.
Cursing, she wiped it away and hoped she'd still be able to keep up with the others if anything else happened.

Noros nodded to the pirate.
Suddenly, the girl behind him slipped, falling to the ground just a few feet short of the group. She got up, but she seemed to wince when she stood up straight.
"Are you okay?" Noros asked as the girl stood up.

Hattie hissed assent to the Pirate boy's request that he was to speak on behalf of them all. She spun around, heart pounding as she heard a slither and clatter, seeming abominably loud but relaxed as she realised one of her companions had fallen - it wasn't soldiers after them at all.
She stepped lightly to the other girl's side as she regained her feet on the slippery rocks and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder, scanning her face for signs of hurt. Fishing a clean, albeit old, hankerchief out of her pocket she offered it wordlessly for the other to wipe away at the small cut she'd sustained on her face.

"Thank you," Belle whispered hoarsely as she took the handkerchief from the other girl and quickly wiped the blood from her forehead. It felt sore, tender, and Belle knew at the very least she would have a large bruise there by morning. Not that it particularly mattered; she couldn't get much uglier.
She nodded to the young man as well. "I'm fine," she replied, "Just twisted my ankle a little."

Alois smiled as one of the crewmen on the small ship's boat waved, and shut the lantern. The boat skidded up onto the beach, waves still washing around it, and Alois started forward.
"Ne'da 'urry. Guv'nor 'as got's 'imsel' n a boil. Tin-tops e'erwhere."
Need to hurry. Governor has got himself in a boil. Guards everywhere.
The crewmen nodded uneasily, one or two casting long looks back up the rocks. "Come then. And yer mates wit' ye. Cap'n wants to move tonight."

Hattie spent a feverish moment tearing a few strips of cloth from the hem of her grubby dress and offered to bind the other girl's sore ankle to allow her more freedom of movement. She knew they'd be moving soon and moving fast.
"Want me to strap it up?" she whispered, "Make it easier for walking?" whilst she waited for an answer, she glanced over her shoulder to see the pirate boy moving down to the water to greet his companions in the ship's boat.

Belle blinked at the girl in surprise for a moment, before answering. She glanced nervously at the waiting boats. The pirate boy was talking with them, and she could tell they needed to hurry.
She turned back to the girl and nodded. There was not much point smiling; it was too dark to see properly and thanks to her scar when she smiled it was more like a grimace. "Thanks," she whispered instead.

Noros saw that the injured girl was being taken care of, so he went a few steps ahead, waiting and watching the pirate greet his comrades.
Noros looked out at the dark horizon, wondering where he'd end up next and hoping there would be something new and exciting to experience.

Alois gestured for them to come along. "'Urry! Le's go!"
She climbed into the boat, turning back to face the others, balancing with ease. Even as her feet left the land, a change came over her, her chin coming up, a glint sparking in her eyes, and confidence flowing from her.

Noros went ahead as the pirate called out.
As soon as the pirate boarded the ship, it was as if he was a different person, almost. While Noros may have been considered skilled on solid ground, a ship on the sea was clearly the pirates' home ground.
Noros stepped aboard, nodding a greeting to the pirate that he hadn't already met.
