Rika flashed a quick grin at Clive, then swung herself into the plane behind Savannah. She was on her way to answers.
She settled herself into a chair and pulled out her cell phone. She typed a brief text message to Jet and sent it.

Clive jumped in next to Rika, smiling back at her grin. He watched as she sent a text message, but didn't bother trying to peak at what it was.
"This should be fun," Clive commented, "I haven't traveled in a while."

Twi peered into the plane at all of them. "Hey, three of you now? Blast," his head disappeared, "need to make some weight adjustment."
There was some clattering and banging beneath them, then a door slammed and he swung up into the plain, finishing his flight procedures before contacting the tower and taxi-ing toward a runway.
He glanced back at them all. "Everyone buckled in? We're about to take off."

Savannah watched from her window as the plane climbed steadily, away from the Nairobi airport. The city itself dropped away and she couldn't help but smile as the ground around the city dropped even lower. It was a high altitude city, she knew.
Then there it was - the great Rift Valley. It never ceased to amaze her and the views from anywhere along the magnificent natural wonder were always breathtaking. Vehicles were rapidly diminishing specs and soon the plane banked and turned - heading for the vast plains of the Masaai Mara.
She felt she was home.

Rika gazed down out of the plane window with breathtaking awe. It was so beautiful. Of course, it was then that her PDA decided to beep, alerting her to an email. Rika reluctantly tore herself away from the view and accessed it.
It was from Jet. There was the picture she had taken of the pilot, and a message from her sister.
Twi Camarouge. A pilot from the States. Finding anything else is going to take a lot of time and some ... unconventional methods.
Rika nearly groaned aloud. Great. Unconventional was her sister's way of saying not-quite-legal. She looked back to the email.
Want me to do it? Love, Jet. P.S Have a nice flight!
She shook her head and typed a brief reply.
No, not yet. Love, Rika. P.S. Thanks.

Clive saw Rika pull out her palm pilot and type something, "Getting more info?"

"You could say that," Rika replied with a wry grin, "It's my sister again. She often helps me out with things. You could say she's the brains of this outfit." She grinned and pulled a face.

"So that would make you the brawn? Or perhaps the beauty?" Clive grinned back.

"Twi," Savannah leaned forward to speak to the pilot.
"We should land at a family friend's place. John Kiakova. He owns a farm on the northern side of the Mara, near the Mara Safari Club."

"I'll let you be the judge of that," Rika replied to Clive.

"I suppose I'd go with the second one, then. Though, I wouldn't doubt if it were both," Clive laughed a bit.

Twi turned his head as Savannah called his name over the roar of the engine, listening as she went on.
"We should land at a family friend's place. John Kiakova. He owns a farm on the northern side of the Mara, near the Mara Safari Club."
"Got it. I know where that is. Seen it quite a few times. No problems. Should only be a bit longer at this speed," Twi replied, tossing a smile over his shoulder.

Savannah settled into her seat, watching absently as the landscape sped past - a country of wonder and adventure. And danger. She wondered how much her new companions knew about Kenya - she wondered if they knew how much strife they could land themselves in following her. As the journey progressed, she lost herself in thought.

"So, your name is Savannah, right?" Clive asked for confirmation, "And I didn't catch your name, sir.."

Twi heard the man, Clive, ask something and glanced back again.
"I'm sorry, what'd you say? Can't hear you."

"Twi. Twi Camarouge." He smiled back at the other man. "And you're Clive, and she's Rika Clavell."
He looked ahead and sent the plane into a long, banking turn, heading for the quickly growing spot on the horizon that would be their landing field.

"Yes I'm Savannah." She answered, one hand steadying herself in her seat as the plane began to turn and the other reaching back to shake hands with him. He seemed pleasant enough.

He shook her hand confidently.
"Clive," he said simply, confirming Twi's words.

Savannah leaned forward again to yell to Twi over the sound of the plane.
"Can you see the lake? That group of buildings to the left - red rooves... that's John's place."

Twi nodded without making the effort to shout back, merely beginning to take the plane down, spiraling toward the distinctive landmarks.

The small plane decended quickly and before long Savannah could see they were flying low over the grass. The landing strip appeared and she knew within moments they would touch down. She sighed. Good old John, she knew she could rely on the daft old beggar. Even now through the window she could see a group of men approaching the landing strip, nobody in any great hurry.

Twi gently touched the plane down, letting it roll forward for a bit before turning the plane back up the runway--in case they needed a quick takeoff-- then cutting the engine.
He looked back at the others. "Alright. We're down and stopped. Everyone can bail out." He turned back to the shutdown procedures for his plane.

Savannah grabbed her bag and ducked her head as she rose from her seat. She smiled at Rika and Clive.
"C'mon, John's alright. He'll help us out. Crazy old devil but honest and true as a rock." she told them. She ducked out of the plane. As soon her her booted feet landed in the dust a cry rang out from the gathering africans.
"Savannah Memsahib!"
"Juma!" Savannah laughed, throwing herself on the powerfully built young man. The two wrestled in the dust for a moment, with the others looking on and laughing before they sprang apart again. A rapid discussion in swahili followed whilst Savannah briefly explained their visit.

Clive jumped down out of the plane, and offered his hand to help Rika down.
