Kage grabbed a coin pouch from the man next to him as he walked into the shop, completely unnoticed. He had asked Rin to meet him here, so they could continue their journey to seek out the remaining Airen daggers.
It was around noontime, so he looked around the shop, waiting patiently for Rin to arrive.
Wait for Blossom to post before adding anymore. We still need to develop the story so everyone else knows what's going on.

Rin squinted up at a shop sign. Yup ... this is the place ...
She pushed open the door and looked around to see if Kage had arrived yet. She saw him standing a little way off, waiting for her. She waved and walked over to him.
"Hey. Sorry I'm late."

"It's no problem," Kage replied, "Is anyone else coming to join us?"

"I don't think so," Rin answered, "Winter's still distraught over Cre, so Torrens has taken her back home, and the others seemed a bit reluctant to carry on as well." Hope that's all right ... taking the liberty of using them

I don't think Jessimyre is joining...maybe if she joins later she can bring Winter back, or just make a new character.
"I suppose you're probably right," Kage admitted, "Perhaps we should look around for some adventurers? We don't have much to worry about, since we were able to get the Shifta off of our tails. They probably won't find us for quite some time."

"We can't be too obvious," Rin pointed out, "Don't you have contacts in Ascertan? Maybe one will know of a dagger similar to yours .... and we can always probe around town for some information."

"I can check with my guild," Kage replied, "but they'd probably want something in return."

"What kind of something?" Rin asked.

"Gold, more than likely," Kage replied, "I'm a thief, remember? Just picture a guild made up of me, only most of them with more greed and less skill. Not to brag, or anything, but there's a reason they like me."

"Right," Rin laughed, "Well, we might as well go and ask. If we can't give them what they want, we'll have to get the information some other way."

"Alright," Kage said, "Follow me."
He grabbed her hand and led her out of the shop, using his other hand to stealthfully swipe yet another coin pouch from an unsuspecting store guest before stepping out the door.
They walked down the streets for a while before turning into an alleyway. Kage then led Rin down the alley until they came to a spot between two large buildings. Kage felt along the wall, then pushed on a portion of it, revealing that it was a door, and opening it.
"Let's go," Kage smiled at Rin.

Rin raised an eyebrow, impressed, as Kage led her through the gap in the wall. They emerged in a large hall, much more elaborate that Rin would have suspected, but it was hard to see properly as the whole place was dark and shadowy.
There seemed to be several people milling around - thieves, Rin guessed, filling each other in on the lasted information. She couldn't make out any of their features clearly, but obviously they were pretty visible as someone called out,
"Kage Chaos! Long time no see!"

"Hey! Dirk, how's it been?" Kage replied, immediately recognizing the other thief's voice.
"Can't complain," Dirk replied, "You?"
"I'm in need of some information, actually." Kage replied.
"Sure, sure," Dirk nodded as Kage and Rin walked closer, "Got some gold?"
Kage threw him the second coin pouch that he'd stolen, "There you go."
"Now what is it you want to know?"
"This would be better in private," Kage eyed his own room, he hadn't been there in quite some time.
"I hear you," Dirk said, letting himself into Kage's room before Kage or even Rin were allowed in.
"So who's the girl?" Dirk asked, eying Rin with a mischievous grin.
"Her name's Rin," Kage frowned at Dirk, shaking his head.
Dirk seemed to get the message, and looked back at Kage, "Alright. What do you need?"
"We're looking to track down some magical daggers," Kage explained, "The Airen daggers, to be more precise."
Blossom: Feel free to control Dirk, or Kage for that matter, until I come back later today.

Aye aye!
"Airen daggers?" Dirk frowned at them.
"The six noble houses and bloodlines of the Airen - Cre, Surr, Veen, Imi, and Brae - were each given guardianship of a dagger that contained the power of a single element, or at least, five of them were. There is supposed to be a sixth dagger, one that controls the other five. The legend was that when all five ... or six ... daggers were brought together and their elemental powers activated, another, immense power could be harnessed." Rin explained.
Dirk raised an eyebrow, "Smart girl. But why are you chasing after a legend?"
"It's not a legend," Kage pulled out a dagger from his belt, "This is the Fire Dagger."
The dagger looked ordinary enough, but for an inscription in Airen on the blade that revealed its origins. Very few could read it though. Rin also had the Light Dagger, that Rethessalon had entrusted to her after he and Twilight decided to leave their quest.
Dirk whistled, long and low. "I see. So why are you asking me?"
"We were told the locations of the other daggers," Rin explained, "Or, their rough locations. One is supposed to be here in Ascertan."
"Do you know anything?" Kage asked.
"Well ... I did hear a rumour," Dirk admitted, "Hang on a minute, let me make sure I've got it right ..."

Dirk got up and walked out of Kage's room. There was some talking with the other thieves, and then Dirk returned, "There's a rumour that a ceremonial dagger was recently stolen from the Temple of the Silent Breeze. That might be a good place to start looking. I'm not sure, but a lot of the temples in this country were started by noble bloodlines, so maybe these Airens you're talking about are one of the bloodlines that started that temple."
"Thanks," Kage nodded at Dirk, "That sounds like a good place to start. Sorry we couldn't stay long, but we'd better get going and investigate this before nightfall."
"Oh, Rin," Kage added, "Is there anything else you think we should try to find out?"

"Any clues about who might have stolen it?" Rin asked the obvious question.
"Sorry," Dirk shrugged, "There are several people who would want to get their hands on something like that, but there's nothing to make one stick out over the rest."
"Right," Rin nodded, "Well, thank you for your help."

"No problem," Dirk replied, "I was paid, after all."
Kage led Rin back out to the alley, and then back onto the main streets.
"Well, shall we investigate some more into this adventure?"

Tagorious had been wandering the streets for quite some time now, looking for the perfect sopt to set up and begin playing but so far he hadn't found any place of significant interest. That is until he happened to be passing by an alley and from the corner of his eye he caught what he thought to be a young man and woman walking out of what used to be a solid wall. Striking his curiousity he stopped abrubtly and turned. Once the word, 'Adventure,' thruck his ears he perked up instantly and couldn't refrain from joining them in the hallway. Stopping a good couple yards from them and bowing low to the ground, removing his hat as he did so. "Greetings travelers, my name is Tagorious Malforin, sribe and minstrel. Doth my ears decieve me or did I hear the mention of...a quest of sorts." he was grinning widely, hoping desperately they'd let him in on what they were going after.

Escstatic that they didn't ignore him he stood up held out his hand in an explanatory way, "Yes. Well you see, nothing brings me more joy that traveling with adventureers and chronicalling their deeds. Then sharing their story with the world. I'll help you in any way I can, just keep in mind that my true loyalty lies with the story. Oh, I didn't catch your name." he voice was smooth and coersive, like that of a noble.

Tagorious laughed along with him, "It's a pleasure to meet you both. And no sir, I may but a mere minstrel but I've seen my fair share of ferocious beasties and don't cower like a frightened piglet. Your looking at the only person to see Sword Master Lectrin single handedly take on the Mosshide Bugbear tribe. Which he didn't exaaactly do single handed, I helped cover his back as best I could. Besides, I have many non combat abilities that you might find worth investing in."

"Oh my good sir, is this an invitation to join you and your mistress here on your little escapade. Because my ears and eyes are one with the street, I know of many things." he grinned widely at the thought of joining them taking a few steps closer to the duo.
